For a new mother, Women's Maternity, is a never ending learning process. First of all, pregnant women must take their prenatal vitamins. Sometimes the doctor may prescribe iron pills and vitamins that are very important to the new baby and the mother. It is very important to eat the right foods while you are pregnant. Some women apply for the Women, Infants, and Children – better known as the WIC program. This is a free program for women who qualify. WIC provides the daily essential foods from our daily food group at no charge and offers classes on how to eat right. It is also important to get the right amount of rest while pregnant. Secondly, Exercise is also important and just as important is keeping away from strenuous exercise. Tight clothing should not be worn while pregnant. Keep ALL your prenatal appointments, doctor appointments’, as scheduled; Sometimes women’s maternity includes documenting their weight gain or loss, to a log. Any changes in your weight should be brought to your doctor’s attention right away. Your calcium intake is very important to your baby and yourself. Drink plenty of milk, eat right, and rest properly and remember to see your doctor as scheduled.
